to assist the Redlands Community

Well, it’s not long until the Extravaganza is on – have you got your entry in?? You have until the end of this week….

There are prizes for all categories – subscriptions to magazines, fabric, lots of goodies!!!

Retail value of the prizes varies for the different categories $25, $50 and $75.

So get those entries in!!!

Best of Show Prize!

We have a wonderful machine donated by Janome for our Best of Show prize. The DC 4030 has heaps of features – here area a few – 125 stitch functions (30 built-in stitches), 6 types of one-step buttonhole, a needle up/down button, AND a walking foot, 1/4″ seam foot and blanket stitch capability. RAFFLE!!

As part of the lead up to the Extravaganza we have a great raffle – with first prize being an art quilt made by Lynne Williams. Lynne is a well regarded art quilter who has won a number of prizes for her work. We are very lucky that she made a quilt for us!

Second prize is a set of handmade placemats, coasters and a bowl – beautiful! Donated by Jill Donaldson

Third prize is a beautiful scarf and scarf pin from a local business – Cleveland Boutique in the Stockland Shopping Centre, Cleveland, 3286 3133. Thank you Brigitte!

Under 18s – a Major Prize is on offer! Bayside Stitchcraft has generously donated a new SEWING MACHINE!

Be the envy of friends (& your mother!) with this very cool-looking black Bernette 46 with gold filigree embellishment & a unique retro look. It has 8 stitches including a 4 step buttonhole, and comes with several easy-to-change snap-on presser feet.

So get your entries organised – a craft item, a garment (wearable item), or a home decor item!

Students may enter more than one category if they wish.
